## Biography

French sculptor, painter, and engraver with the pseudonym Gilbert Lanquetin. He was the pupil of Pierre Dupuis and one of the founders of the Salon d&#39;Automne where he exhibited regularly between 1907 and 1931. The influence of the sculptor Médardo Rosso \(1858-1928\) can be observed in Berthoud&#39;s work.
