# PALMERINO DI GUIDO [View the canonical artist record]() ## Artist - Profession: painter - School: Italian ## Biography Italian painter, active in Assisi. He was a collaborator of Giotto on the Legend of St Francis in the Upper Church of San Francesco, and executed many of the paintings in the St Nicholas Chapel of the Lower Church. Palmerino is probably identical with the so-called \(Maestro Espressionista di Santa Chiara \(Expressionist Master of Santa Chiara\), who painted scenes from the life of Santa Chiara in the church dedicated to this saint \(Basilica di Santa Chiara, Assisi\). Palmerino's son, Guiduccio Palmerucci \(1280-c. 1349\) was also painter.
