## Biography

Italian sculptor. He worked in marble and alabaster, specialising in export pieces. He directed his studio called &#39;Guglielmo Pugi&#39;, after joined by his sons &#39;Guglielmo Pugi e figli&#39;. Guglielmo Pugi carved the bust of King Umberto I for the Piazza Umberto I in his native Fiesole. Many of his sculptures are on display in the historic Alabaster Museum of Volterra.
