## Biography

Italian architect. He worked with Antonio da Sangallo the Elder on the Papal palace and fortifications of La Rocca, Cività Castellana \(1494-1500\), and carried out other works on the fortifications of Nepi. He was involved in the building of Santa Maria della Consolazione, Todi, a centrally planned church probably derived from sketches by Leonardo da Vinci and from Bramante &#39;s designs for San Pietro, Rome. He restored Foligno Cathedral \(1512-15\), and built the fortress at Porto Ercole \(c. 1518\).
