# Crucifix [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [UNKNOWN MASTER, Spanish]() - Date: 1151-1200 - Technique: Oak and pine with polychromy, height 260 cm ## Commentary According to tradition, this crucifix hung in the convent of Santa Clara near Palencia in northern Spain. The figure of Christ is made of white oak, the cross is of pine.
