# "La Boitteux" Vase [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [UNKNOWN POTTER, French]() - Date: 1751-1800 - Technique: Soft-paste porcelain, 29 cm, diameter 26 cm ## Commentary "La Boitteux" Vase c. 1752 Soft-paste porcelain, 29 cm, diameter 26 cm Musée du Louvre, Paris This vase, one of the first created at the Vincennes factory, is adorned with a lapis-lazuli blue ground obtained in 1752 to imitate China porcelain.
