# St Andrew [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [BREGNO, Andrea]() - Date: 1451-1500 - Technique: Marble, 120 x 81 cm ## Commentary This high-relief sculpture of St Andrew standing in a shell-topped niche was originally on an altar in Old Saint Peter's in Rome. It was one of three saints in niches above the altar. separated by finely decorated pilasters.
