# Lady with a White Parasol [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [PETROVIÆ, Nadežda]() - Date: 1851-1900 - Technique: Oil on canvas, 90 x 65 cm ## Commentary Lady with a White Parasol c. 1910 Oil on canvas, 90 x 65 cm National Museum, Belgrade Nadežda Petroviæ's practice as a painter and writings as critic were alike aimed at furthering the cause of Modernism as vigorously as possible. She spent the years from 1910 to 1912 in Paris, meeting the Fauves and exhibiting, like them, at the autumn Salon.
