# Landscape with a Timber Yard near Dordrecht [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [CUYP, Aelbert]() - Date: 1651-1700 - Technique: Oil on panel, 43 x 53 cm ## Commentary This panel is one of the painter's earliest, painted when he was nineteen--years-old, and may well be the first with a view of his hometown, Dordrecht. This city was famous on account of the timber trade.
