# Monument to Mignard [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [LÉPICIÉ, François-Bernard]() - Date: 1701-1750 - Technique: Engraving ## Commentary The engraving shows the monument to Mignard, commissioned in 1735 by the painter's daughter, Madame de Feuquières from Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne II. This tomb survives in a mutilated state in Saint-Roch, Paris, the original monument is known only from the engraving by Lépicié, made in 1743, the year in which the tomb was finished. The monument was executed in a variety of media.
