# Cabinet [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [UNKNOWN CABINETMAKER, Flemish]() - Date: 1601-1650 - Technique: Ebony veneer on oak, ivory and tin marquetry, brass mount, 185 x 140 x 52 cm ## Commentary The present richly decorated cabinet with lots of tiny drawers inside to hold money, jewels and other small valuables, is a typical piece of furniture in seventeenth-century Antwerp.
