## Commentary

View of Olevano c. 1822 Pen with black and gray ink and watercolours, pencil, 531 x 431 mm Staatliche Museen, Berlin Horny was one of the most gifted pupils of Joseph Anton Koch. With his abstract and flowing use of line he went beyond the drawing techniques of his master and the Nazarenes.
