# St Matthew and the Angel [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [RENI, Guido]() - Date: 1601-1650 - Technique: Oil on canvas, 85 x 68 cm ## Commentary Guido Reni repeated the theme of the apostles and evangelists several times. There are in existence two copies of the evangelist series in Rome and Naples.
