## Commentary

The elevations of the cathedral are integrated by piers supporting blind arches, integrating these two traditional elements of Lombard Romanesque. Subdivision occurs within the curvature of the single arches, with tripe-window galleries lining the entire circumference of the church. The photo shows the west façade of the cathedral.
