# The Mystic Marriage of St Catherine [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [GOSSART, Jan]() - Date: 1501-1550 - Technique: Pen and brown ink, 227 x 172 mm ## Commentary This drawing is the earliest surviving work by Gossart, dated before artist's trip to Rome in 1508-09. In the chimney-piecelike construction in the background Moses, identified by the Tablets of Law, is represented.
