## Commentary

This engraving depicts a printing press in the Netherlands as it was in 1440. It shows the inking, printing and typesetting. In the Netherlands Laurens Janszoon Coster \(c. 1370-c. 1440\) from Haarlem is regarded as the inventor of the printing press. He discovered printing simultaneously with Johannes Gutenberg
