# The Korte Vijverberg at The Hague Seen from the Tournooiveld [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [FARGUE, Jacob Elias La]() - Date: 1751-1800 - Technique: Oil on panel, 55 x 77 cm ## Commentary The Korte Vijverberg at The Hague Seen from the Tournooiveld c. 1761 Oil on panel, 55 x 77 cm Frits Lugt Collection, Paris The painting was based on a drawing of the location, dated 1761, made by Paulus Constantijn la Fargue, the artist's brother. In the distance we can see the Mauritshuis by the Hofvijver. The staffage differs from that in the drawing.
