# Tomb of Medea Colleoni [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [AMADEO, Giovanni Antonio]() - Date: 1451-1500 - Technique: Marble ## Commentary During the first half of the 1470s Amadeo executed the tomb of Medea Colleoni \(d. 1470; not completed until after Bartolomeo Colleoni's death in 1475\) for the Dominican sanctuary of Santa Maria at Basella \(near Urgnano, Bergamo\).
