# Cicero: Pro Marcello, De Senectute [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MINIATURIST, French]() - Date: 1401-1450 - Technique: Manuscript \(Ms. 693\) ## Commentary Cicero: Pro Marcello, De Senectute 1445-50 Manuscript \(Ms. 693\) Biblioteca Trivulziana, Milan This manuscript contains two works by Cicero: the oration Pro Marcello and the philosophical text De Senectute, together with the French translation of the latter by Laurent de Premierfait \(c. 1380–1418\), a Latin poet, a humanist and in the first rank of French language translators of the fifteenth century.
