# Funeral Monument to the Anti-Pope John XXIII \(detail\) [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [DONATELLO]() - Date: 1401-1450 - Technique: Pietra serena ## Commentary Portraiture was Donatello's major personal contribution to a commission that he undertook c. 1424 jointly with Michelozzo \(by then his business partner\): the monumental tomb of Baldassarre Coscia, the Anti-Pope John XXIII \(d. 1419\).
