# Landscape with a Shipwreck of Aeneas [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [VALCKENBORCH, Frederik van]() - Date: 1601-1650 - Technique: Oil on canvas, 200 x 100 cm ## Commentary From 1597 onwards Frederik van Valckenborch was back in Germany from Italy, first in Frankfurt then in Nuremberg until his death.
