## Commentary

This scene depicts Crown Prince Cosimo II de&#39; Medici Receiving the Victors from Bona in Front of the Church of San Stefano in Pisa \(1606\). It is part of the narrative cycle with scenes from the recent history of the Medici Volterrano painted in the portico of the inner courtyard in Villa Medicea La Petraia, near Florence.
