# Aqueduct and "machine de Marly" [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MARTIN, Pierre-Denis]() - Date: 1651-1700 - Technique: Oil on canvas, 115 x 161 cm ## Commentary The garden at Marly, laid out between 1676 and 1686 by Jules Hardouin-Mansart, was reputed to be Louis XIV's finest garden.
