# Sunset in the Pays de Caux [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [BONINGTON, Richard Parkes]() - Date: 1801-1850 - Technique: Watercolour 200 x 260 mm ## Commentary The fourth Marquess of Hertford, who acquired nearly all of the nineteenth-century pictures now in the Wallace Collection, was a great admirer of Bonington's work.
