## Commentary

Bosio remained faithful to the Canovan aesthetic until its disappearance. In the Salon of 1845, the year of his death, he showed the Young Indian Woman. In this figure, whose charm and natural quality made it one of the artist&#39;s most famous works, we recapture the smooth modelling, the penchant for youthful nudes and the reference to the Antique \(here The Thorn Remover\).
