# Small desk [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [OPPENORDT, Alexandre-Jean]() - Date: 1651-1700 - Technique: Oak, pine, walnut veneered, gilt-bronze, height 77 cm ## Commentary This is one of a pair of desks made in 1685 for Louis XIV's study at Versailles.
