# The Dauphin's Wedding Ceremony [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [COCHIN, Charles-Nicolas II]() - Date: 1751-1800 - Technique: Engraving ## Commentary Despite periods of financial crisis, the output of engravings and tapestries, as well as wall and ceiling paintings, never ceased, recording images of the monarchy's ceremonies and festivities in a noble, allegorical style.
