## Commentary

This panel depicting the Crucifixion with the Virgin, Nicodemus, Joseph of Arimathea and other figures, is attributed to Nicolás Francés, because the figure style, details, and the vegetation all show a more French influence than Flemish and recall his known paintings. However, there are proposals for other attributions to artists active in Seville.
