## Commentary

This print was made after a painting by Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin. It depicts a young man sitting at a table, performing a card trick in front of two children standing at the opposite side of the table. It was designed and engraved by Pierre-Louis Surugue and published by Louis Surugue.
