## Commentary

The Coronation of the Virgin was executed by Lorenzo di Niccolò for the church of San Marco in Florence. The painting closely &lt;A onclick=&#34;return OpenOther\(&#39;/html/s/spinello/coronati.html&#39;\)&#34; HREF=&#34;/html/s/spinello/coronati.html&#34;&gt;reprises the altarpiece&lt;/A&gt; which he painted in collaboration with Spinello Aretino and Niccolò di Pietro Gerini for the church of Santa Felicità only a year earlier.
