# Patience \(reverse\) [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [LEONI, Pompeo]() - Date: 1551-1600 - Technique: Cast bronze, diameter 67 mm ## Commentary The reverse of the medal shows Patience, draped and veiled, with arms crossed, chained by the left ankle to a rock, on which stands an urn surmounted by an armillary sphere. Liquid from the spout of the urn falls onto the chain. To the left a landscape. The border is beaded. Inscription around top circumference: SVPERANDA OMNIS FORTVNA \("All fate is to be overcome"\).
