## Commentary

This interesting piece is an altar fragment, which is attributed for stylistic reasons to a workshop in Hainaut, more specifically that of the Master of the Hautrage Entombment and the Isières Calvary. The characteristic traits of that master include the taut and angular treatment of the drapery.
