## Commentary

Lansquenets Talking with Market Women c. 1710 Red chalk, 171 x 132 mm Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Charles Parrocel was also an engraver and executed 18 plates for François de La Guériniere’s Ecole de cavalerie \(Paris, 1733\), as well as various other military subjects.
