## Commentary

This print was made by Jan van Vliet after a work of 1631 by Rembrandt. According to this print of 1657 \(third imprint\), it shows the portrait of György I Rákóczi \(1593-1648\), prince of Transylvania, bust in profile to right, in a gorget and cap with feather. However, the name occurs only on the third imprint, and the man in the feathered hat bears no resemblance at all to any of the known portrait of György I Rákóczi.
