# St Ursula Shrine: Arrival in Cologne \(scene 1\) [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MEMLING, Hans]() - Date: 1451-1500 - Technique: Oil on panel, 35 x 25,3 cm ## Commentary Ursula disembarks from one of the boats tied up at the port of Cologne, assisted by several of her companions. The company makes its way through one of the city gates. Sailors unload baggage from the hold. In the background we see several Cologne buildings, from left to right: the Bayenturm, the towers of St Maria Lyskirchen, the nave and another tower of St Severin's, Gross St Martin and the Cathedral.
