## Commentary

The panels depict St Bonaventure and St John the Baptist with Ludovico Euffreducci \(left\); Enthroned Virgin and Child with Angels \(centre\); St Francis of Assisi and St Louis of Toulouse \(right\). These are the principal panels of a large altarpiece made for the Euffreducci family&#39;s chapel in the church of San Francesco in Fermo. Originally the altarpiece consisted of several tiers that were placed in a single frame. The present three frames date to the late 1800s.
