## Commentary

Deposition \(detail\) c. 1528 Oil on wood Cappella Capponi, Santa Felicità, Florence Christ is carried by two young men \(one of the shown in this detail\) both of whom look forward to where they are doing. There is a general influence from Michelangelo&#39;s Cascina cartoon in the thin, muscular figures that crouch and turn.
