# Two Sitting Figures \(verso\) [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MICHELANGELO Buonarroti]() - Date: 1501-1550 - Technique: Black chalk, 320 x 228 mm ## Commentary The drawings on the verso of this sheet, depicting two sitting figures, are related to figures in the lunettes of the Sistine ceiling. The left female figure is a study for the painting of <a onclick="return OpenOther\('/html/m/michelan/3sistina/6lunette/07/lu07hez.html'\)" href="/html/m/michelan/3sistina/6lunette/07/lu07hez.html">Hezekiah - Manasseh - Amon</a> lunette at the right below the Cumaean Sibyl.
