## Commentary

De Sphaera 1450s Manuscript \(Ms. lat. 209\), 245 x 164 mm Biblioteca Estense, Modena On folios 11r, facing the representation of Mercury on folio 10v, activities benignly influenced by Mercury are shown. In the centre is a banquet with, beneath it, two cooks at an oven preparing the food. On the left, from top to bottom: a scribe, clock-makers and armourers, on the right: painter, sculptor and organ-maker are depicted.
