## Commentary

Bartolomeo Sermartelli was an Italian printmaker and publisher in Florence. The present woodcuts, depicting different point of views Giambologna&#39;s group &lt;a onclick=&#34;return OpenOther\(&#39;/html/g/giambolo/2/54giambo.html&#39;\)&#34; href=&#34;/html/g/giambolo/2/54giambo.html&#34;&gt;Rape of the Sabines&lt;/a&gt; are taken from &#34;Alcuni composizioni di diversi autori in lode del ritratto della Sabina,&#34; published in Florence in 1583.
