## Commentary

The pilgrimage and parish church of St. Peter and St. Paul at Steinhausen in Upper Swabia was built between 1728 and 1733 by Dominikus Zimmermann. Here Zimmermann successfully combined a hall built of free-standing piers with a central plan. The picture shows the exterior of the church.
