## Commentary

This folding board for playing tric-trac \(a kind of backgammon\), doubled on its verso by a chessboard, bears the LL monogram of Léonard Limosin and the date 1537. This remarkable object is compelling evidence of the attachment of members of the court notability under François I to society games.
