# Coronation of the Virgin [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [DONATELLO]() - Date: 1401-1450 - Technique: Stained-glass, diameter 380 cm ## Commentary As one of the numerous artists who were commissioned to produce furnishings for the interior of Florence cathedral, Donatello designed the eastern glass window for the dome's drum. Domenico di Piero di Pisa and Angelo Lippi carried out the work, which took over three years, of realizing his plans.
