# The Fall: Eve [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [CRANACH, Lucas the Elder]() - Date: 1501-1550 - Technique: Lindenwood, 137 x 54 cm ## Commentary The first human pair is monumentally represented on two separate panels in front of a black background.
