# North wall of the chapel [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [ANGELICO, Fra]() - Date: 1401-1450 - Technique: Fresco ## Commentary The fresco cycle consists of scenes from the lives of the archdeacons Stephen \(lunette\) and Lawrence \(bottom register\). On the lunette of the north wall, St Stephen is seen preaching on the left, and on the right engaged in the dispute with the Jews that led to his condemnation.
