## Commentary

This painting belongs to the original decoration of the Liechtenstein Garden Palace at Rossau commissioned by Johann Adam Andreas I von Liechtenstein \(1657-1712\). A series of Ovid&#39;s subjects was originally intended to adorn an entire room.
