# View of the Chapel [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [ORCAGNA]() - Date: 1351-1400 - Technique: Photo ## Commentary This view of the Strozzi Chapel in the Santa Maria Novella in Florence shows the fresco cycle by Nardo di Cione of the <a onclick="return OpenOther\('/html/n/nardo/strozzi/1west.html'\)" href="/html/n/nardo/strozzi/1west.html">Last Judgment</a> \(rear wall\), the <a onclick="return OpenOther\('/html/n/nardo/strozzi/2south.html'\)" href="/html/n/nardo/strozzi/2south.html">Paradise</a> \(left wall\) and the <a onclick="return OpenOther\('/html/n/nardo/strozzi/3north.html'\)" href="/html/n/nardo/strozzi/3north.html">Hell</a> \(right wall\) executed in the 1350s. The altarpiece is by Orcagna, the brother of Nardo. The figures in the stained glass window are the Madonna and Child, and the Dominican Saint Thomas Aquinas.
