## Commentary

The print shows Johann Martin Christell \(1690-1752\), Pastor of the Jacobskirche in Augsburg, half-length to right, looking at the viewer, wearing robe and falling ruff, curled wig, his right hand open towards the viewer, an open book on a table in front of him, his left hand in his robe.
