# Pier Maria and Bianca Struck by the Arrows of Amor [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [BEMBO, Benedetto]() - Date: 1451-1500 - Technique: Fresco ## Commentary Pier Maria and Bianca Struck by the Arrows of Amor c. 1460 Fresco Golden Room, Castello di Torrechiara, Torrechiara The first picture in the sequence is the one of Amor shooting arrows on the southeast wall. Pier Maria Rossi has been shot in the breast, and clasps the arrow with both hands.
