Crucifixion of Christ c. 1500 Tempera on wood, 87 x 84 cm Akademie der bildenden Künste, Vienna The unknown Flemish painter, referred to as the Master of the Legend of Saint Catherine was familiar with the &lt;A onclick=&#34;return OpenOther\(&#39;/html/w/weyden/rogier/06crucif/0crucifi.html&#39;\)&#34; HREF=&#34;/html/w/weyden/rogier/06crucif/0crucifi.html&#34;&gt;figure-style of Rogier van der Weyden.&lt;/A&gt; However, he certainly knew the contemporary &lt;A onclick=&#34;return OpenOther\(&#39;/html/m/memling/5late/37nogr1.html&#39;\)&#34; HREF=&#34;/html/m/memling/5late/37nogr1.html&#34;&gt;landscape compositions of Hans Memling.&lt;/A&gt;
